Workshop for educators and MAM Family
Founded in 1948, with the mission to spread modern and contemporary Brazilian art, the São Paulo Museum of Modern Art is currently one of the most important museums in Latin America and has an intense program of cultural and educational activities, such as conducting courses , workshops and guided tours.
In partnership with the Cidade Invertida project, the educational museum developed a parallel action to look and pretend exhibition: photographs of paste tion M + M Auer.
Curated by French historian Elise Jasmin and Brazilian critic Eder Chiodetto, the show brought together some 290 works of the largest private collection of world photography. The educational activity took place in two ways: Exclusive pinhole workshop for teachers and another for those interested in general, the MAM Family members, a different schedule that seeks to encourage parents and children to usufru eties of the museum's activities.
The practice of analog photographic capture, in combination with the chemical processing of the images within the laboratory, enabled participants to have a closer contact with traditional methods of black and white photography, since a significant part of the works exhibited were created in order similar.
